Flight Schools Now Enjoy a Complete FAA Part 141 Curriculum – Private through Instrument Flight Instructor

King Schools CEO and Co-Owner of King Schools is one of the instructors in the new course Cleared for Instrument Instructing.

For Immediate Release: March 30, 2023, SUN ‘N FUN, Lakeland FL.

The new Cleared for Instrument Instructing course and curriculum adds an Instrument Rating to a CFI’s Flight Instructor certificate and is the latest addition to King Schools’ Cessna Flight Training System (CFTS).  It includes home study material plus flight school tracking of FAA Part 141 approvable syllabi for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor and now the Instrument Flight Instructor Rating. This complete set of courses allows a flight school to develop a professional pilot program that will take a candidate all the way from zero hours to airline hire.

Barry Knuttila, King Schools’ CEO said, “The CFTS was created to make it easy for a flight school to start up and run a complete FAA Part 141 program that qualifies for VA approval and student financing.  It’s a turn-key system that includes digital record keeping and electronic signature as well a free ‘concierge service’ to assist flight schools in acquiring their Part 141 approvals.” Barry continued, “This system is designed to fully support our flight school and university customers as they face an increasingly competitive marketplace in the airline training industry.” The CFTS is used by over 200 flight schools including all Cessna Pilot Centers, plus 25 colleges and universities.

All CFTS courses integrate with the Course Tracking Application (CTA) that provides digital support to flight instructors though iPad/iPhone apps for use on the ground and while training in the air.  The apps enable instructors to review and track student progress, identify areas of difficulty and audit progress toward graduation. The CTA is provided for free to all flight schools using the Cessna Flight Training System.

The Cleared for Instrument Instructing course has a retail price of $374 and is discounted for profitable resale at participating flight schools.
