Student Pilots will see fresh content and more than 130 brand new engaging videos in the revised Cessna Sport/Private Pilot Course
For Immediate Release July 25, 2024, AirVenture Oshkosh WI.
King Schools first launched the Cessna Sport/Private Pilot course in 1997. Since then, over 100,000 hundred thousand flight school students have used the course to guide them through the Part 141 approvable Private Pilot training syllabus. The course has helped them pass their written tests and successfully complete their first checkrides.
King Schools customers who used the Cessna Private course have also been encouraged to provide course feedback since the course was first launched. That feedback has resulted in a re-imagined course framework, content, lessons, and video demonstrations.
Here’s what’s new!
“We have added a whopping 138 new instructional videos into the Cessna Private Pilot course,” CEO and Co-Owner, Barry Knuttila said. “These high-quality visuals seamlessly complement existing lessons, providing students with a much richer learning experience.”
“We also reviewed the entire course content, page-by-page, and made significant updates to the teaching content to ensure it’s clear, concise, informative, and entertaining, so that the learning experience will be even more effective,” he added.
The fully revised Cessna Sport/Private Pilot course is available now for a retail price of $374.
Bobby Doss, the owner of United Flight Systems of Spring, Texas says “We are looking forward to having our students access the new videos. We have used the Cessna Flight Training System for many years. The new course changes should help our students understand the concepts a lot faster as they now have both video and text instructions to help them prepare for the FAA exams. Out instructors use the Course Tracking Application that is part of system for many of the items that we must track with our students. The whole system digitally connects our instructors with their students and eliminates a ton of paperwork and saves us time.”
Since John and Martha King founded King Schools in 1974, they have made learning to fly fun and engaging for millions of learners. King Schools is one of the most successful and prolific providers of ground school instruction worldwide, with an estimated market share of 50% of aspiring Private Pilots using a King Schools course to prepare for their written tests.
No two flight students are the same, so the new course allows for flexibility and personalization. Aspiring pilots can proceed at their own pace and tailor their learning schedule based on their needs and the time they can commit to completing their certificates. This bespoke approach benefits students who may need a bit longer to master the material, and also those bored with conventional classroom instruction.
“We know that video lessons and visual demonstrations help bring complex concepts to life – we’ve been doing that at King Schools for 50 years now,” said Martha King. “And the longer we do this, the more WE learn too. So, we’ve incorporated a lot of that knowledge, along with customer suggestions, into the new and refreshed Cessna Sport/Private Pilot course.”
The Cessna Sport/Private Pilot course is a component of the Cessna Flight Training System that includes Part 141 approvable syllabi for Private through CFII. It is used by over hundreds of flight schools throughout the USA for training under both Part 141 and 61. For more information see https://KingSchools.com/Cessna-integrated-training.
